Erica King
My name is Erica King, I am a Kentucky native and an Assistant Regional Trainer for our Kentucky and Tennessee locations here at CORA Physical Therapy. When asked why I loved my job many reasons came to mind, because I love what I do each and every day.
One of those reasons is the amazing staff I work with. Regardless of what clinic you enter in our region, they have a smile on their face with a can-do attitude. The one thing that really makes us who we are as a region is our teamwork. We are all a team; a team who helps each other, pushes each other, and gives each other the respect we all deserve.
One of the main reasons our region has such a team approach to everything is because our management team is top notch. John Staley, Brett Kolnick and Tim Butcher go above and beyond for all of us every day. I am very thankful to work alongside these gentlemen striving to make our region the best we possibly can be.
Another reason I love my job because I see the difference and impact, I have the opportunity to make on people's lives. For me, it is not just about the paycheck. I am truly making differences in people's lives. As a trainer I go to a lot of locations, I get to see many patients, and staff members, from all walks of life. Each with a different story. I enjoy meeting patients and other staff members; I enjoy listening to their journeys of how they got where they are in life and listening to their stories. I enjoy connecting with our patients and staff, it makes my heart happy when I can make someone smile. Because if I can go to work each day and make a positive impact on just one person, then I feel I have succeeded in my job that day. I look at it like this; if I can make one person, regardless of a patient or another staff member, smile each day imagine how many smiles that could possibly be by the end of my career. People may not remember your name, but they will remember your kindness.
I love my job because to me, it is not just a job but a career. A career which I can grow and learn in every day. I have always said no one knows everything, and that includes me. I have an amazing group of PSC's that are intelligent, creative, and very tech savvy. I enjoy going to the clinics and working beside my PSC's, taking care of patients together and talking to each of them. I like to hear their opinions and want them to freely express themselves. I enjoy collaborating with them and exploring ideas together. I want to hear how they feel I can give them what they need, how I can help them better themselves as PSC's, and how I can help them become a strong member of our CORA family. It is my job to ensure every PSC on my team is amazing at what they do, and happy with coming to work each day, and I take that very seriously.
I love my job because the other trainers in our region are phenomenal! Jana Magill, Tammy Hunt and Cherri Goodman are top notch in my book. We work as a team, always. I know I can depend on any of them to be there anytime I need them. I know if I do not have an answer for one of my PSC's they most likely will. If not, they will help me find the answer. I am very thankful for the relationship we have as trainers and the teamwork efforts we partake in daily.
I could write a book about why I love what I do. I wake up every morning excited to go to work because CORA is the best company I have ever worked for. If you are looking to become part of a team that values you, appreciates you, and treats you right CORA is the place for you!
