Physical Therapy for Movement, Strength, Balance, and Mobility
Pediatric physical therapy helps children improve movement, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, posture, and mobility. Our team supports children with gross motor delays, torticollis, toe walking, gait abnormalities, sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, neuromuscular impairments, and other movement-related needs.
Treatment may focus on helping a child sit, crawl, walk, run, play, recover from injury, improve balance, or use equipment safely and effectively.
Speech Therapy for Communication, Language, Feeding, and Fluency
Pediatric speech therapy helps children strengthen communication, language, feeding, and speech skills. At CORA Blacksburg Pediatrics, our speech therapy team supports children with articulation concerns, expressive and receptive language delays, speech delay, stuttering, auditory processing difficulties, feeding needs, and AAC evaluations.

Meet our Team
Clinic Manager
Cheryl Vaughan, MS, CCC-SLP
Cheryl S. Vaughan, M.S. CCC-SLP is currently the Clinic Manager and Speech-Language Pathologist for the CORAkids pediatric office in Blacksburg VA. For over 30 years, Cheryl has served in multiple managerial roles while also maintaining her role as a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University, Radford Virginia. In her managerial roles, Cheryl has been responsible for managing and directing therapy services in clinical sites throughout Central and Southwest Virginia, while also overseeing the day to day operations of the Blacksburg clinic. She has served as the Director of Speech Therapy, and was a member of an Executive Committee and Compliance Program Committee to ensure quality and ethical business practices. In her role as a Speech Language Pathologist, she has provided therapy services in a variety of settings including the clinic’s multidisciplinary outpatient pediatric program, infant and preschool programs, Headstart programs, public schools, nursing homes, and developmental day programs. She is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her husband, family and two rescue poodles.
