Meet our Team

Physical Therapist, Clinic Manager
James Silvestri, PT, MDT

James is a graduate of the LSU School of Allied Health Professions.  Since becoming a physical therapist, James has earned certifications in the McKenzie Method (MDT), Functional Dry Needling (FDN), Kinesio Taping, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).  James is also a certified Pitching Coach and specializes in the shoulder and elbow, having completed more than thirty post-graduate courses.  He also excels in treating the spine, knees, and overall wellness to bridge the gap between rehab and lifestyle fitness.

At work, James enjoys helping patients experience regional interdependence – the concept that seemingly unrelated impairments in a remote anatomical region may be associated with a patient’s primary complaint.  James values a healthy lifestyle and believes it’s vitally important to quality of life.  He is motivated to make a difference in the lives of people with injuries or other impairments.

Outside of work, James loves spending time with his wife, Sherry, and being outdoors fishing, skiing, and training their Siberian Husky together.  The adventurous duo are DIYers and have completed several renovations to their home in Seymour.  They are always up for doing new things and stay active throughout dedicated exercises, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Physical Therapist Assistant
Sherry Silvestri, PTA

Sherry is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and has been working in the field for over 20 years. Sherry is highly skilled in treating orthopedic conditions, pelvic instability, and sports rehab. She excels at creating a fun, upbeat, welcoming, and supportive experience for her patients and colleagues.

Sherry loves working with a variety of patients and diagnoses and enjoys helping people in general. Being a small part of a patient’s wins as their therapist is a rewarding feeling. Her mission is to provide optimal therapy to her patients so they can quickly return to the more enjoyable aspect of their lives.

Outside of the clinic, Sherry enjoys the outdoors and seeks fun and laughter with her husband, Jim, two daughters and fur baby! She also takes special interest and pride in restoring furniture pieces to their original beauty, similar to her approach to working with patients in restoring the beauty of human movement potential.

What's Your CORA Story?

Here's what others are saying about us:

I went to CORA for total knee replacement rehab. What impressed me most is how the group worked as a team all together. It made for a fun work out even when it wasn’t much fun. We made great strides with my recovery, and they have set me up to continue moving forward. I would recommend this team to everyone I know who needs any kind of rehab

Tom Williams

I was most impressed by the staff's professionalism and how they were personable with patients, as well as their knowledge of situations.

I have suffered with positional vertigo for at least 8yrs and had to learn how to live a certain way. Watch movements and such. I never knew when it would attack me. Most times when it hit me, I was down for 3 or 4 days, nauseated and defeated. I am not one to complain of pain. Dizziness is a life altering adjustment. You CANNOT function! It began to worsen so I took steps to see what could be done. I ended up at CORA in Pigeon Forge. One of my better moves. From the time I walked in the door, receptionist, to the back with my therapist and his partner, my prayers and hope soared!!!! I am not a hundred percent back, but I sure feel like it considering what I lived with. I could go on and on but let me just finish with this, if you need a physical therapist, go to CORA Pigeon Forge, you will not regret it!!!!! Thank you so much! Words cannot express my appreciation!!!!

Julie Winkler

I came to CORA expecting to experience all the horrible stories I had heard about physical therapy. However, from the moment I walked through the front door, I could not have asked for a better experience. I was greeted with a genuine smile and welcome from Valerie at the front desk, who put me immediately at ease. I was assessed by Jim, who showed genuine concern for my pain and lack of motion and gave me hope that he could help. My therapy was professionally and expertly overseen by both Jim and Sherry who worked together to make sure I had the best care for my situation and made the most progress each session. I am truly thankful for their care. I could not have asked for better.

Rebecca Young

Very knowledgeable & helpful. Amazing, Sherry & Jim could multitask having 3-4 patients each doing different exercises. When each were ready to move to next exercise, bam, they were at your side to instruct you on next exercise. Very friendly atmosphere
