CORA Physical Therapy President and CEO, Dennis R. Smith has announced the promotion of two of CORA’s key senior leaders within the CORA family of companies, effective September 1, 2017.
Luis Ferrer is promoted to Senior Vice President – Acquisitions – Integration and Operations. Luis joined CORA in 2002 as a Clinic Manager for a development clinic in South Florida. He has succeeded in roles of increasing responsibility throughout his tenure with CORA including Area Manager, Regional Manager, Regional Vice President, and assumed his current role as Vice President – Operations in 2011. Additionally, he also oversees the operations of Rapid Referral and has been instrumental in this department’s increased responsibilities and services offered. Luis is uniquely equipped to lead CORA’s increasingly complex acquisition integration processes. Throughout the years, he has consistently shown flexibility, tenacity, and compassion while navigating the challenges of helping new organizations successfully integrate into and become part of the CORA team.
Javier Othon is promoted to Senior Vice President – Field Operations. Javi first joined CORA in 2001 as a staff physical therapist and has excelled in roles of progressively increasing responsibility including Senior Clinic Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager, Director of Workers’ Compensation Services, Regional Vice President, and assumed his current role as Vice President of Operations –S. Florida/Tampa in 2013. In his capacity overseeing workers’ compensation services for all of CORA, Javi provided the vision behind the formation of Work Tracks, a workers’ compensation program which brought consistency through all of CORA’s markets and allowed CORA to brand itself as an expert in this area. Javi has shown a consistent ability to strengthen CORA’s operations in multiple markets.
