I injured my back at work and I was recommended to physical therapy at CORA for 3 months. When I arrived in January of 2017 I could barely bend over to the point they didn’t even take measurements. I couldn’t look at the ceiling by bending backwards at all. I finished my three months of physical therapy, and a short time later went back to the doctor who discovered that I had two ruptured discs one of which was pushing up against my spinal cord and was paralyzing me (L4 and L5 were damaged). I returned to CORA one more time after having surgery to insert a spinal cord stimulator, shave down my discs and fuse my SI joints, so that I could try to achieve my physical therapy goals. From that point, I have since finished my physical therapy a couple months ago and I can now touch my toes! I can almost put myself into an entire back bend and I can even rotate my shoulders to where I can look over my shoulder now. When I first started I couldn’t do any of that, I couldn’t even tie my shoes without having severe pain which I can now do with ease.
I was most impressed with the staff. Trish and Denise both worked with me regularly but when they weren’t there I had no problems working with Brian, Bridget, Rocky, Nee, Nikki, Emily or Raymond. The ladies upfront placing the appointments and checking us in and out made things very easy. Never was it complicated to understand what the next plan of action was for my care.
I would like to thank everybody at CORA Physical Therapy in Winter Haven for all of the care and consideration that they have invested to help me reach my goal. I am extremely grateful!
