Physical Therapy
Stories
Anthony Lavigne, PT, DPT
I grew up doing electrical contracting with my dad and was following in his footsteps until a dirt bike wreck and herniated disc brought me to PT for the first time at age 16. I was a terrible patient who rarely did his home exercises, but thanks to working with a rockstar PTA (Allen Rowe), I was able to get back to work and sports in a few weeks. PT seemed like a good gig to me, fixing people instead of equipment and having a great impact on another human’s life. That’s where the idea began. Fortunately, MUSC somehow let me into the program and after graduating I worked with one company for 11 years before choosing to join the CORA family. It has been a game changer. The caliber of people that make up our team is extraordinary, and believe it or not, I was able to work with Allen again—just 20 years later and this time as colleagues.
Outside the clinic, I love hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping with my family, coaching youth baseball coach, being a surf instructor/lifeguard with Warrior Surf Foundation, helping friends with projects, and being an business owner and instructor of Body Tempering Certification courses.
I’m thankful for having guidance in life and then the ability to pay it forward whenever possible..
